Current Chemicals in Food/ Stores

CHEMICAL USAGE INFORMATION

(Note, I personally took this picture to the left today at a store.  This is not a stock photo, it’s the actual spray they are using.  I do not want to get the sprayer in trouble so I edited that person out.)

Just a heads up, this is one of the cleaners they are using to sanitize carts/ counters/ food in stores. I was actually informed they spray produce with this as well at some stores.

PLEASE, clean your produce if you are purchasing at a store.

This is a quaternary ammonium compound (QAC) known as alkyl dimethyl ethyl benzyl ammonium chloride and is being sprayed not only to clean but also diluted on your vegetables at fruit at many stores right now.

This compound has been proven to cause asthma/ respiratory disturbance and reproductive toxicity in peer reviewed studies(see below for links).

We need to be conscious of what we are doing with these cleaners, we are creating more issues by not just using soap and water.  PLEASE talk to your local stores and ask them to do better.

While in small doses most people can deal with chemicals in small amounts, the amount of chemical cleaners being used right now is increasingly more and more and our systems are not used to this overload.  From stores to our food to what we are ordering online, we are coming into contact with much more toxicity than normal and we need to recognize this and listen to what our bodies need.  Also recognizing if we are having breathing issues not related to the virus or another cause it could be related to the chemical overload as could skin issues, eye irritation and a number of other symptoms.

As a homeopath, herbalist, alternative medicine practitioner, energy healer and bodyworker I believe in minimizing toxicity on every level and part of that comes down to cleaning our food, not only per the virus, also from the chemical overload.   In addition being aware of taking optimal care of our health right now which means taking care of your personal health needs which could include obtaining optimal sleep, eating healthy food, getting fresh air, reducing stress as much as you can, drinking plenty of water, etc.

One benefit of masks in stores where they are spraying, we inhale somewhat less chemicals. I tend to look for opportunities in chaos. 😉

Blessings, In good health, Satya
