Working with Animals

Healing for Animals

As a clinical/classical homeopath, I have trained in homeopathy for dogs, cats and horses and provide the opportunity to treat these animals homeopathically and through other holistic methods.  I also assist in determining a healthy approach to nutrition and provide guidance when approaches are not working through intuitive and holistic means.

Feel free to reach out and see if what I offer might benefit your animals.  Also, I believe it’s important to note that I am experienced in and open to integrative approaches with western medicine when needed. I’ve worked with many vets over the years for integrative approaches to maladies like Lyme disease, cancer and thyroid disorders.

How my journey treating animals began:

Many years ago I was treating a lovely woman for cancer treatment side effects and she brought in her dog and asked if I could help her too as she had developed anxiety while the woman was going through chemo.

As an intuitive who often communicates with animals, I realized I could provide the dog with a remedy to help her anxiety as well.  I explained at the time this was new for me and contacted a colleague who was a homeopathic vet and we determined a remedy and dosage that felt sufficient.  The dog, when I offered the remedy from across the room, got up, walked over and pressed her head against the bottle.  I’ve since learned that certain animals can sense the remedy they need and will show us when they are ready for it.

Within a week her anxiety was gone and both her and her owner were so happy it made my heart soar.  In that moment, I decided to train in homeopathy for certain animals as in homeopathic medicine, as in any medicine, it’s important to determine the type of animal you are treating, For example, I do not treat bird or reptiles as they respond differently to remedies and I am not confident of treating their systems appropriately with homeopathic medicine.  Today I treat dogs, cats and horses through homeopathic and other means, ie. energy healing, craniosacral massage, etc. when appropriate.

I’ve offered this service now for 15+ years and have worked on ranches with horses and treated dogs and cats throughout the US and abroad including those who have dealt with trauma such as animals dislocated by the wildfires in CA.  I do not treat every challenge, and with 20+ years of alternative medicine experience and 15+ years treating animals, I can often can steer you in a direction that is best for you and your loved ones if I am not a fit.  Feel free to reach out anytime to see if what I offer might benefit your loved one.  As an animal lover myself, I do my best to be of service and also volunteer with rescue organizations and have for many years.

Testimonial

“Osha is our black lab and thanks to Jenifer, she is still here.  In 2015 Osha was bit by a tick during our camping trip in Western PA.  We didn’t realize until days later when she started limping.  I thought she hurt her paw but after a week or so, we took her to the vet and he found a tick embedded in her groin.  I was horrified I’d missed it. She was in so much discomfort and so groggy I didn’t know what to do.  The vet offered antibiotics and after a few weeks, she got a little better but not enough to really bring her back.  A friend had used Jen for Lyme disease with her daughter and said maybe she could help.  Best call I’ve every made.  Within minutes she understood the situation better than the doctor had and she treated homeopathically and through a change in diet, I saw Osha come back to us and after a month was up, she was her old kooky self.  Ever grateful for homeopathic medicine and Jenifer.”  Sharon L., Princeton, NJ
