I almost didn’t write on this because there is more going on than I can ever write in a single article. 🙏

This certainly isn’t all of the information, and, I hope it’s illuminating and useful for you. 🌸

We have two major astrological events things going on right now.

One, the full moon this week and two, the retrogrades of several planets along with mercury retrograde. So that I don’t give you pages and pages to read I’m going to hit some highlights in this article mostly on the full moon and my next article focusing on the retrogrades.

Full Moon/ Super moon in Pisces

The full moon this week will appear at 6:36 PM Pacific time/9:36 PM Eastern standard time on Wednesday.

This super moon will be the biggest moon of the year and for those who can see it it should be spectacular. The energy is going to be strong, so for those of you affected by the full moon and/or for your animals expect an active couple of nights leading up to it.  This is a time when the coyotes may howl.  Also for those of us on the coasts we may find some high tides as always before the moon.

Any full moon can cause emotions to be high, and, Pisces as a water sign and a very sensitive sign can bring up the emotions from the heart with deep levels of empathy.  The emotions brought up with Pisces tend to be those of depth rather than those of anger. Feelings of compassion, heart, love and understanding will be felt deeply.

Pisces cares for others and is devotional in it’s self-less service so this is a wonderful time to give to others and be present for others from your heart.  You may even find yourself less able to access aggression at times during this moon which is very unusual for a full moon and may be a welcome surprise.  This will especially be true if you are practicing regular self-care.

Also one thing I’m going to offer and don’t have the time to fully explain is women in their 40’s and beyond (ie. those in perimenopause and menopause) may feel the benefits of this from a hormonal perspective, feeling a lightness, resiliency and ease they haven’t felt in a while.  It’s a reminder of your deeper self, enjoy it and use it as a gateway as you explore your truth.

Just as we must fill our well before giving to others, it’s also important to have compassion first for our own humanness.  If we are judging ourselves while praising others our authenticity is missing.  Another way of viewing this is the practice of non-violence to the self and others.  Non-violence/non-judgment in speech, thought or action brings forth true compassion with an open and childlike, innocent heart that sees humanity as family and therefore loves all, including the self.  Through the practice of self-compassion we can find and be our true selves.

There is also a very creative, fluid energy to Pisces so you may find yourself wanting to express this empathy and compassion in creative outlets, tapping into self-expression in beautiful ways.  For those called to dance, sing, write, paint, etc. you may feel an intense flow of energy toward expression of your gifts the next couple of weeks encouraged by this full moon energy.

One unusual aspect I’d like to bring light to is that Neptune is currently retrograde in Pisces.  Neptune’s energy focuses on seeing truth beyond illusion.  Neptune doesn’t care about our personality or old stories we are hanging onto, Neptune focuses on our deeper truths and unraveling the Self, encouraging self-exploration.

This is an exciting invitation for many of us to look at our own inner truths and how we have manifested in our worlds as we examine what may need to shift and/or that which has already shifted.  We have the ability to see ourselves from fresh eyes and be offered the opportunity to see where we are out of alignment with our truth while being driven to make positive and important changes.

We are encouraged to ask ourselves, what is real/true for me now, what are my values/beliefs today and how am I coming to my world with authenticity.

We may find ourselves needing to clean up some old illusions and look at the reality of our situations today with not so rosy glasses. This is NOT about self-recrimination.  That is an easy avenue for many to travel down and truly is not the course of action here.  This is about OPPORTUNITY to manifest that which we truly desire without the need to be something we aren’t.  It’s about allowing our own evolution instead of limiting ourselves to old personalities we have outgrown.  This full moon and all the energies around it are encouraging us to find our inner truth/self-authenticity because the person you most need to be honest with is yourself.

Once we get honest with ourselves, we can then look at who we want to be with others, manifesting from our own deep roots.

This energy can be useful in clarifying your truth if you have been feeling unsteady and uncertain about your future.  Looking at where your stories weren’t or aren’t true for you, and/or where they have changed as you have grown and as you are writing your new story going forward.

I encourage you to take the time the next two weeks before the new moon to delve into your truths on many levels, the amount of energy available for this with all of the retrogrades going on is astounding.

Here is a practice for you to enjoy at the full moon to tap into your truth.

A PRACTICE FOR THIS ENERGY

Sit with your eyes closed and a pen and paper off to your right size and a dish of water (symbolizing Pisces energy of compassion through emotional flow) to your left.  Feel free to put flower petals in the water that symbolize your personal expression.

Settle into a comfortable position, perhaps with one hand over your heart and feel yourself embrace self-love and self-compassion.  You may wish to have one hand over the heart and the other over or with fingertips in the water if that feels right for you.  Begin to breathe.

Find a peaceful breath in and out and when you feel yourself coming into a peaceful state, ask yourself ‘who am I’ over and over slowly, waiting in between each utterance to see what comes to you and when you are ready, open your eyes and write down whatever comes through.  You can do this several times if you wish.

When you feel complete, close your eyes and find a peaceful breath in and out and when you feel yourself coming into a peaceful state, ask yourself ‘what isn’t real’ over and over slowly, waiting in between each utterance to see what comes to you and when you are ready, open your eyes and write down whatever comes through.  You can do this several times if you wish.

Then close your eyes and find a peaceful breath in and out and when you feel yourself coming into a peaceful state, ask yourself ‘who am I becoming’, over and over slowly, waiting in between each utterance to see what comes to you and when you are ready, open your eyes and write down whatever comes through.  You can do this several times if you wish.

If there are any additional questions you wish to ask, do this another time.  Limit to 4 times per sitting and sit with these, you may do this again in a couple of days if you wish to.

I have become someone new and who I am now is not the person I was before.

I embrace and hold gratitude for all the lessons I’ve learned that have brought me to this new place in my life.
